June 1998: Maine Trip
Lynne, Thomas and Peter, and
Colleen, Justine and Aric drove to Maine in the summer
of 1998. Dave and Al travelled by air to Maine a little later.
Unfortunately, lightning destroyed the main cabin during the winter
after we were there.
 | We took a walking tour of Bath.
This city has been building ships for a long time.
Some people ended up with money, and built some very
nice houses.

 | | The Maine Camp is on the bay. From the porch of the main
cabin, you could throw stones into the bay. Beyond the bay
lies the Atlantic Ocean.
There is a fishing village off to the North.

 | There are a number of buildings on the site.
There is no electricity, but there is running water
and kerosene lights. And lots of mosquitoes. |
| |
 | | Short haircuts all around for a summer of no maintaince.
| |
 | | The rocks (at low tide) are rather interesting.
These tortured rocks are the main breakwater between
the bay and the campsite.
